A fresh take on a classic. Ski Inn adds a modern yet familiar look to the town of Sisters, OR

A hub for all of your Central Oregon adventures
Ski Inn’s downstairs boasts a rustic, open-aired taphouse with 16 craft-beer taps, delicious bbq, and pub fare while upstairs hosts six bright and clean boutique hotel rooms with incredible views. Their open-air taphouse is the perfect spot to hang out and enjoy a cold one after a hike, a few hours on the town, or after hitting the slopes. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Sisters, Oregon, the Ski Inn is the perfect location to rest your head before a weekend full of Central Oregon adventures.
After the original Ski Inn was destroyed by a falling tree, the lot was purchased to become a combo tap house and hotel bearing the same name. However, they needed a fresh new logo to distinguish themselves and attract Sisters, OR locals and tourists alike.
We needed a fresh new logo that would appeal to the outdoorsy patrons, while keeping on theme with the aesthetically specific town of Sisters. Early in the design process, we knew a stamp-style emblem would make for a good fit, and over the course of the project, incorporated the iconography of the lodge, beer, fork and knife, and tree. We made the wordmark to match, and incorporated the ski-poles in the primary logo as a nod to the name. When picking a color scheme, I color-selected from pictures of the exterior of the Ski Inn, which has a gorgeous gold-blonde wood exterior with rust-red metal accents. The end result was a modern but down-to-earth logo that made it clear to visitors exactly what they offer.
“[katie] was very easy to work with and made sure to communicate with us about timelines, cost, and all.
Loved the final results too.”
